Despite the relatively shorter season for motorsports in Canada, Allen Berg Racing Schools is a year round destination for racing enthusiasts. We are pleased to offer excursions to the FIA approved 2.2 mile La Guacima Racetrack, located on the outskirts of San Jose, Costa Rica, in the winter months. Available in January and February, packages include two or three day driving courses, combined with trips to various tourist destinations in spectacular Costa Rica. Accommodation for ABRS guests is provided by the five star Melia Cariari Hotel, located just outside San Jose and only minutes from the La Guacima Racetrack.

La Guacima Racetrack
Inaugurated in 1974 this world-class racetrack is located in La Guacima, Costa Rica, twenty minutes from the San Jose International Airport and just thirty minutes from downtown San Jose.
Autodromo La Guacima is widely recognized as one of the finest racing facilities in Latin America. This FIA licensed circuit is in operation twelve months of the year and frequently hosts high profile international auto and motorcycle racing series.
3100 meters in length with a width of 12 meters, La Guacima is considered an extremely technical track, with twelve distinctive curves of varying speeds as well as numerous elevation changes. La Guacima offers full media facilities, a fully licensed restaurant, dedicated race shops located on site, full electronic timing and scoring with its scoring tower and on site wireless Internet. Recent additions to the circuit include a new three-story television tower, shaded VIP grandstands and corporate suites.

ABRS guests may choose from a variety of packages allowing then to explore the magnificent attractions of the jewel of Central America, from active volcanoes to fragile rainforest, spectacular waterfalls, beautiful, unspoiled white sand beaches, horseback riding, boat tours and river rafting adventures. Experience the pure adrenaline rush as you swing from tree to tree in the canopy in Tura BaRi Natural Park or visit spectacular Carara National Park, teeming with exotic wildlife, such as macaws, toucans, crocodiles and iguanas.
This luxury resort hotel offers the perfect setting, located only five minutes from the international airport and just ten minutes from downtown San Jose. All rooms have remote control TV, air conditioning, safety deposit boxes, electronic key system, mini bars, direct dial telephone and 24 hour room service.
The Melia Cariari has a fully equipped gymnasium, aerobic classes, saunas, massage service, the Melia Casino and two swimming pools. The beautiful 18 hole championship Golf Course of Valle del Sol is also just few minutes from the hotel. ABRS is pleased to announce a technical alliance with Motec Systems, recognized world leader in racecar data acquisition technology for professional racing teams worldwide. The addition of cutting edge data acquisition computers synchronized with on-board video cameras installed in all of our Formula Cars will provide a record of all driving inputs, which allow us to critique driving performance in debriefing sessions regularly throughout the day in our 1 and 2 day Formula Car courses. Further, drivers in our 1 and 2 day Formula car courses a complimentary DVD video of lapping sessions as recorded by our on board cameras. By offering this unique service as a standard component of our curriculum sets ABRS apart from all other racing and driving schools.
