The year 2017 is said to be a special one for Canadian motorsport. One of the reasons is the Formula One debut of 18-year-old Lance Stroll with Williams Martini Racing, which makes him the youngest racer on the grid. It will also mark the debut of Canada’s fifth full-time F1 driver after George Eaton, Allen Berg and the two Villeneuves.

An announcement was made by Williams stating that Stroll will replace Brazilian driver Felipe Massa, alongside team leader Valtteri Bottas.

At the age of 5, Stroll was given a go-kart for Christmas by his father, Lawrence Stroll, which started his  knowledge in driving. He started racing karts in 2008.

He had won lots of championships, crashed several times, experienced suspension, came back again and won more races.
