One Day DD2 Advanced Driver Development Karting Program

This one day program is focused on improving /enhancing overall driving performance for experienced DD2 drivers as well as provide guidance for tuning and kart preparation.

There will be ample track time that will include classroom sessions, specific on-track driving exercises, open lapping sessions that will include the following:

–          Brake bias and how to adjust for different track conditions (specifically wet v dry) / track layouts / and kart set up

–          Braking techniques with front brakes and different corners – how to carry engine momentum

–          Shifting strategies with various types of corners / track conditions

–          Passing strategies specific to the DD2 kart and engine / shifting

This program will operate 8AM – 6PM, with a short break for lunch.

Event is co-operated Edmonton Karting Champ Kyle Stevens and Allen Berg. Kyle represented Canada in the 2009 & 2010 DD2 World FInals in Egypt and Italy. Mark Stevens will provide a technical briefing that will cover the fundamentals of kart preparation, tuning and maintenance that most participants will find very useful.

Participants need to provide kart & all safety equipment and will be responsible for their own kart maintenance.

Although beverages will be provided, participants will be responsible for their own meal arrangements.

There will be much information that will be shared that will certainly benefit more experienced drivers too.

To maximize benefit from this program, it is recommended that drivers should be able to lap Warburg in approximately 55 seconds or better . If you do not meet this minimum standard please contact Kyle or to address your individual situation or with any further questions.
