Born in Los Gatos, CA, Grant’s competitive edge was honed as an Olympic hopeful in downhill skiing. Prior to racing cars he also spent many years as a crew member on winning, high level ocean racing sailboats. In short, Grant has spent a lifetime searching for and thriving on adventure.
In 1995 Grant enrolled in a Racing School and his life was forever changed. Grant quickly climbed the formula car ranks and since has raced and won in everything from Formula Fords to 200 MPH prototype sports cars, including a 2 year stint as the Northwest Speedwerx scholarship driver in the highly acclaimed Toyota Atlantic Series.
Currently Grant is a professional driver, working for manufacturers and individuals alike. He takes the skills learned throughout his years of racing and transforms them into precision, thrill ride and commercial work. Throughout his journey, Grant has also developed a passion for teaching the craft of performance driving and racing to others. Following 13 years of teaching at the Skip Barber Racing School, Grant resigned as Western Regional Chief Instructor in search of new challenges. Today when not behind the wheel, Grant still enjoys coaching aspiring professional racers and gentlemen drivers alike.
