Strong VIR Results: Victory and Podiums Push Berg Racing Toward Championship Showdown
Cleveland, Georgia – September 25, 2025 – The penultimate round of the Ligier JFC Series took place this past weekend at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), a track known for its technical challenges, fast corners, and demanding conditions. For Berg Racing, the event was nothing short of dramatic; a weekend filled with highs, lows, and plenty of determination from our drivers and crew.
Team Owner Allen Berg reflected on the experience:
“It was a tumultuous race weekend at VIR. We encountered many highs and lows throughout the event, and I am very proud of how all of our drivers prevailed. I’m grateful for the hard work of our mechanics and crew leading up to and during the race. With another victory for Drew, Harbir securing a podium, and Ronan achieving an impressive 8th place finish in his debut, we’re looking forward to carrying the fight for both the team and drivers’ championships into the final round at Barber Motorsports Park next month. It’s exciting for the Ligier JFC Series that both championships will come down to the wire at the season finale.”
Sporting Director Alex Berg also shared his thoughts:
“We came out of VIR with momentum and a renewed shot at both championships. Drew’s win put us back in the fight, Harbir’s comeback to a podium showed great resilience, and Ronan kept improving every session despite the challenges. The work we put in behind the scenes really paid off, and I’m excited to carry this form into the championship finale at Barber.”
Driver Highlights
- Drew Szuch added another victory to his already strong season, strengthening his position in the championship battle.
- Harbir Dass fought hard and secured another podium finish, proving his consistency and competitiveness throughout the season.
- Ronan Bray, making his series debut, impressed with an 8th place finish in a highly competitive field. His calm and focused performance promises much more to come.
Team Effort
Behind the scenes, the mechanics and crew worked tirelessly, not only to prepare the cars for the grueling VIR weekend but also to keep them in top shape through changing conditions and on-track challenges. Their dedication is a cornerstone of Berg Racing’s success and a reminder that motorsport is truly a team effort.
Looking Ahead
All eyes now turn to Barber Motorsports Park, October 17–19, for the final round of the championship. With both the team and drivers’ titles still undecided, the stakes could not be higher. The Berg Racing squad is ready to bring everything to the table and close the season with the same spirit, determination, and passion that has carried them through 2025.
We thank all our partners, sponsors, and fans for their continued support. Your encouragement fuels the team as we prepare for the championship showdown in Alabama.
