Coming from a family with a strong background in racing, Cameron has always been surrounded by cars and motorsports. He started racing go karts at just 11 years old.
He quickly moved up the levels, taking with him a championship, multiple podium season finishes, and track records. When he was 16, Cameron began racing the world renowned 125cc ICC Shifter class, taking championships and other high finishes in the World Karting Association Manufacturer's Cup West series and in Pro Kart Challenge, which boasted some of the largest karting events in the country.
In 2009 Cameron ran a Formula Mazda in the Formula Car Challenge series taking 4th in the points championship in his first season. In the next two seasons (2010, 2011), he followed up his performance with a 1st and a 3rd in the points championship. He continues to race formula cars while he is currently transitioning into professional touring car racing.
Off the track, Cameron has been highly active in his studies, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems in 2010. He also completed his Master of Science degree in Information Technology in 2013.
