Another podium for berg racing as young drivers continue strong development at road america

ROAD AMERICA, Elkhart Lake, WI (May 17, 2026) – Berg Racing celebrated another successful weekend in the Ligier Junior Formula Championship as the team continued to showcase both competitive results and significant driver development during Round 2 of the championship held May 14–17 at Road America.

The highlight of the weekend came with AJ Abdullah securing his first podium finish, marking an important milestone for both the young driver and the Berg Racing program.

Throughout the event weekend, Berg Racing’s drivers demonstrated measurable progress on one of North America’s most challenging road courses. Ella White continued to close the gap to the front-running lap times, showing remarkable advancement since first stepping into the car last November, while Tyler Wade delivered his strongest lap time of the weekend during his final racing lap.

Team Principal Allen Berg praised the continued growth of the team’s developing drivers and emphasized the organization’s commitment to nurturing young talent.

“Ella has shown vast improvement since her first time in the car in November, getting closer and closer to the race leaders each time she’s on track,” said Berg. “Tyler ran his best lap time of the weekend on his final racing lap, and all three of our drivers have faced various challenges during their short time with us and have responded with grace and dignity. It won’t be long before all three drivers are visiting the podium on a regular basis.”

Berg also highlighted the significance of AJ Abdullah’s podium result within the broader mission of the program.

“One of the objectives Berg Racing treasures most is developing young drivers. We are extremely proud of AJ’s first podium this weekend at Road America. Winning is always special, but seeing AJ, Ella, and Tyler improve so much with relatively little experience behind the wheel is incredibly rewarding for our entire team.”

Berg Racing now turns its attention to the next round of the Ligier JFC Championship at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, scheduled for June 11–14, 2026, where the team will look to continue its momentum and build on another encouraging weekend of progress and performance.
