Calgary Kart Track Earns Two Year Extension

Calgary City Council has voted to provide the Calgary Kart Racing Club (CKRC) a two-year extension to the lease on its track located on Race City Speedway land in SE Calgary. This is to allow the CKRC time to build another track.

The imminent closure of Race City Speedway at the end of the 2011 season means the only form of serious racing in Calgary will be at the CKRC location. This will also allow the opportunity for ABRS to continue to operate our karting program in Calgary!

Congratulations to the CKRC!

Allen Berg ranks among Canada's top racing personalities. He won the Formula Pacific Tasman Championship, won at Silverstone against Ayrton Senna and Martin Brundle in perhaps the greatest year ever in British Formula 3, and qualified for nine starts in F1, a record bettered among his countrymen only by Gilles and Jacques Villeneuve.
