ABRS Grad Alex Keyes Leads Points Championship
ABRS Graduate Alex Keyes Starts the 2014 Season as Points Leader in the Formula Car Challenge West Coast Series
With three wins and a 2nd place finish just four races into the season, ABRS graduate Alex Keyes is on a great start in his racing career. He is currently competing in the Formula Car Challenge West coast series in the Pro Formula Mazda class. Having been in formula cars for only a short time, Alex is quickly gaining momentum in his racing.
Alex joined us for a racing school program at Fontana in June of 2013, and shortly thereafter found himself behind the wheel of a Formula Ford 1600 race car. As 2014 rolled around, he jumped into a Pro Formula Mazda car, the same used in the national Pro Mazda Championship series as a stepping stone towards IndyCar. In just his first race weekend in the Pro Formula Mazda with Formula Car Challenge, he was already setting fast times and running away with a stellar lead. With four double race weekends to go, he will be competing at Thunderhill Raceway, Sonoma Raceway, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Portland International Raceway in the coming months.
We look forward to seeing Alex’s racing pursuits in the future and wish him luck!
